The Winter Whisky Cocktail Workshop is organized, focusing on whisky-based cocktails and aiming to highlight this category. This was followed by similar programs dedicated to rum, tequila, gin, and vodka.
Bar Academy hosts its first International Masterclass, titled “The Rum Experience”, presented by Ian Burrell. Later that year, the academy relocates to new facilities at 28 Velestinou Street in Ampelokipi, inaugurating the space with an International Masterclass dedicated to Japanese bartending culture by Stanislav Vadrna. In the same period, it launches the Advanced Bartender, Homemade, and Molecular Mixology seminars, which in the following years evolve into the Intermediate Bartending Seminar, Bartending Seminar 2, Bartending Seminar Level 3, Zero Waste Creative Techniques, while also announcing the Latte Art Seminar.
The International Masterclass series continues with guest speakers Angus Winchester, Philip Duff, and Salvatore Calabrese. In the same year, the academy undertakes the organization of the first Angostura Global Cocktail Challengeand the Disaronno competition, The Mixing Star, while also beginning preparations for the first The Bar Academy Show, held under the motto “Greece in the golden age of the cocktail” during the Xenia exhibition in November.
Despite the challenging circumstances for both Greece and the academy, the tradition of inviting international experts continues, featuring Tomas Aske, Tristan Stephenson, Anistatia Miller, Jared Brown, Leonardo Leuci, and Tomas Estes. In November, the 2nd The Bar Academy Show is organized.
Bar Academy undertakes the full execution of the Skinos Mediterranean Cocktail Challenge and relocates to its current premises at 36A Lamprou Katsoni Street in Athens. It launches the Intermediate Bartender Seminar, which later evolves into the Bartending Seminar Level 2. At the same time, The Bar Academy Show is renamed to the Athens Bar Show, as many visitors and international guests were already referring to it by that name. The event also moves to the city center, hosted at The Hub Events in Petralona, and adopts a new motto: “Shaking the future of bars.”
The Bar Talks platform is announced, aiming to highlight ideas that advance the hospitality sector, and bars in particular. Bar Talks is hosted during the Athens Bar Show, with the talks’ videos published online. In the following years, the platform is integrated into the Athens Bar Show and Bar Academy TV, which is launched in 2016.
The Athens Bar Show relocates to the Technopolis of the City of Athens, where for the first time more than 500 professionals are trained within a single year.
#BarAcademyTV is launched as a new media platform for information and entertainment within the hospitality ecosystem. Its first show, Bar Academy News, is created with content specifically tailored for industry professionals and broadcast through Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. The Bar Management Seminar is renewed and transformed into a comprehensive program aimed at entrepreneurs and executives. In October, the first The Coffee Show takes place, an educational exhibition dedicated to coffee professionals, while during the Athens Bar Show, spaces at Innovathens (Building 8) are offered to showcase pioneering and innovative businesses in the industry.

The academy undertakes the organization of bartending seminars for InSETE in Athens, Thessaloniki, and Heraklion, while also establishing new facilities in Thessaloniki at 7–9 Ioanninon Street, near the French Institute.
The academy opens its facilities in Nicosia, Cyprus, and hosts the 2nd The Coffee Show. At the same time, it supports Difford's Guide Greece by co-organizing the Aegean Cocktail & Spirits Festival at the 360 Cocktail Bar. During the Athens Bar Show, a dedicated section of the program is focused on Bar Management, featuring international experts from around the world.
New seminars are developed focusing on financial management and emerging trends in bars, delivered in Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Rhodes, and Chania. The Athens Bar Show celebrates its 10th edition, attracting more than 10,000 visitors from Greece and 51 countries across four continents.
The academy closes its facilities in Nicosia and refocuses on Greece, restructuring its organization and services. During the lockdown, it offers free online seminars and invites Brand Ambassadors to share their expertise through its digital platforms. In July, it launches the Bar Management Webinar, designed with the same depth and quality as the in-person version. In Thessaloniki, it relocates to larger facilities at 74 Venizelou Street, while discontinuing the Bartending Seminar Level 3 in order to renew the entire third-level curriculum. In the same year, it also undertakes the online event World Class Studios, part of the global World Class platform.
New online seminars are launched, including Juniper Expert, Rhum Agricole Tasting Forum, Budget for Hospitality Business, Strategy for Hospitality Business, and Leadership & Team Effectiveness, with the prospect of also being delivered in person when possible. The academy also undertakes the organization and execution of the World Class Greece final at its facilities.
The Mediterranean Bar Show is introduced in Cyprus, in collaboration with Your Bartender and Pair and Pear. In November of the same year, alongside the Athens Bar Show, the Athens Bar Week is also established.
