In recent years, the conversation around quality in craft beer has moved beyond taste and style. More and more breweries are investing in raw materials, production processes, and the documentation of their products' characteristics.
This is the context in which the new AFQ (Activity FoodOxy Quality) certification awarded to Pineios Brewery for a range of its craft beers becomes significant. The certification evaluates the bioactive and antioxidant profile of food and beverages through specialized laboratory analyses, adding another dimension to the quality conversation.
Among the certified labels, LOCHES Beer with Melivoia chestnut achieved the maximum score of 20/20, while LOLA I.P.A. scored an impressive 19/20, and both LOLA Porter and LOLA Pilsner recorded 18/20. LOLA Belgian Ale, LoCo Herbal, and LOLA Cambos were also certified.
The certifications were carried out by Swiss Approval North America, following an inspection audit and specialized laboratory evaluation conducted by FoodOxys PC.
For the Greek craft scene, this distinction is one more argument in favor of investing in local ingredients and production quality beyond the end result in the glass.
