Vikos Natural Mineral Water Marks Earth Day by Planting 1,000 New Trees in the Municipality of Sintiki

Vikos Natural Mineral Water Supports the Restoration of Mount Orvilos with 1,000 New Trees

The latest environmental initiative by Vikos Natural Mineral Water focused on an area of Mount Orvilos that was severely affected by last summer’s devastating wildfires. As part of this effort, 1,000 new saplings were planted, aiming to restore the natural balance and strengthen local biodiversity.

The action was integrated into the celebrations for the 83rd anniversary of the Battle of the Forts and was carried out with the participation of students from EPAL Rodopoli. With enthusiasm, the students honored the memory of the fallen while symbolically reinforcing the message of environmental awareness and collective contribution.

This marks the fifth consecutive reforestation initiative in fire-affected areas since 2021, following similar projects in Northern Evia and Mani. With the addition of 1,000 new trees in Sintiki, the total number of saplings planted in these regions now reaches 5,000.

In parallel, Vikos has also participated in five nationwide volunteer planting initiatives, donating a total of 4,000 trees. From 1996 to today, the company has contributed to the planting of 16,600 trees across Greece—of which 9,000 since 2021, when its strategic partnership with the environmental organization we4all began.
