LATTE ART: THE ART OF PRESENTATION

Latte Art is the technique in which foam milk is poured into espresso, creating striking patterns on the surface of the coffee. Through the right foaming and flow technique, the barista can turn a simple beverage into an impressive artistic creation.

Our experienced lecturers will guide you through the basics of latte art, equipping you with the skills and knowledge you need to develop both your creativity and your technical abilities. Preparing a proper espresso is an art in itself, but creating patterns in the coffee cream requires excellent technique, precision and practice.

If you're ready to unleash your inner artist, the Latte Art seminar offers a comprehensive combination of theory and practice. Unlike a simple cappuccino or latte macchiato, latte art requires microfoam with a velvety texture, which allows for clean and smooth creation of patterns. Through systematic practice, sensory training and perseverance, participants will perfect their technique and gain the confidence to create impressive, professional-level coffee presentations.

LATTE ART THEORY & PRACTICAL TRAINING

This educational module explores the fundamental elements of Latte Art, covering:

  • What is Latte Art — The science behind microfoam and pattern formation in the cup
  • Etching Tools — Equipment and techniques for creating detailed patterns and enhancing creativity
  • Milk Composition — Understanding milk proteins and their role in proper frothing
  • Latte Art Techniques — Step-by-step guidance on pouring, layering, and drawing designs

Participants will put their knowledge into practice, focusing on:

  • Combining Latte Art & Etching — Blending free for techniques with etching methods
  • Heart Design — The foundational shape and starting point for all latte art designs
  • Rosettes — Creating complex, leaf-like patterns
  • Freehand Designs — Developing personal style and creative expression

This training provides baristas with the technical skills and artistic confidence to elevate their coffee presentation to a professional level.

SEMINAR MATERIALS, CERTIFICATION & ATTENDANCE POLICY

Each participant enrolled in this seminar receives the training program notes, which include sample recipes to support learning and practical application.

Participants who successfully complete the full training program and pass both theoretical and practical assessments will be awarded a Certificate of Completion. If the required criteria are not met, the certificate will not be issued.
