"Management for HO.RE.CA.Program" by Bar Academy contains 5 different modules.
Interested participants may attend any module in any order they desire.
It is aimed at new or experienced managers, as well as bar owners who want to learn or expand their knowledge in managing a contemporary and competitive bar.
Seminar or Webinar
The "Management for HO.RE.CA.Program" seminars are held in two ways:
a) Seminar hold within Bar Academy of Athens
b) Online (webinar) via ZOOM platform. The webinar version of the seminar is conducted live by our instructors and the presence of the students is necessary on the days and times of the scheduled seminar.
The training provided is exactly the same in both ways.
Success is a science. If you have the conditions, you will get the result.
Module 5: Bar and Restaurant
The training program is mainly practical to give directions and advice for the organization and operation of a bar or restaurant.
Detailed instructions for the equipment are included, as well as the typology and the catalog design in a bar, covering the whole range of actions required for its daily operation. Starting from the necessary supporting documents for issuing a license to the accounting of drinks and managing the cash register as well as the opening/closing of the bar.
In the restaurant section, the organization and equipment, the composition and pricing of the menu are fully developed and in a highly practical way.
In the first chapter of the seminar, the basic principles of professional behavior are developed as well as the ways of handling complaints from the customer side.
After completing Module 5, participants will be able to:
⁕ Learn the basic principles of professional communication
⁕ Develop their communication skills
⁕ Handle dissatisfied customers successfully and in a purely professional manner
⁕ Know all the conditions for organizing & operating a bar
⁕ Understand in detail the technical requirements in terms of equipment of a bar
⁕ Recognize the bar typology
⁕ Design the price list of the bar
⁕ Make decisions about the operation of the bar
⁕ Organize and manage the restaurant equipment
⁕ Manage the daily tasks of the kitchen
⁕ Compose and price menus
⁕ Manage the financial activity of the restaurant
Certificate of Attendance .
A successful "Participant Assessment" is required in order to receive "Educational Program Attendance Certificate" which includes:
- Participation in all program presentations
- Completion and submission of assignments/exercises
- Evaluation of sufficient understanding of the material by the instructors .
The "Certificate of Attendance" is not awarded until the "Participant Evaluation" is successfully completed. Students may repeat the program, as per the “free repeat” policy - contact us for more information.
